In 2020, Wellcome Trust convened researchers across the mental health science community to help find the next generation of treatments and approaches to prevent, manage and stop relapse of anxiety and depression in young people worldwide. The current systematic review synthesized evidence on the characteristics, effectiveness and acceptability of Behavioral Activation (BA) to examine its role as a potential ‘active ingredient’.
The Active Ingredients project infographic is structured and designed as an overview for relevant policymakers and funders. It is to leverage the spirit of collaborative government practices explaining what was found and what the implications are for policy development if it were to include consideration of Behavioural Activation for alleviating mental health problems among young people aged 14 to 24 years.
